I want to use an image of the iPhone in one of my apps but I'm concerned they will reject it because it's a copy written image. I also remember someone saying that they reject an app because of this.

I had an app rejected because one of Apple's springboard icons appeared in my app. But, I had a video in one of my accepted apps that showed me using the iphone. So, there's a gray line here.

I think if you're demoing something in app, it's okay, but if you're just using the graphics as clip art, that may be an issue.

I had an app rejected for using something very similar to Apple's 'Settings' icon. It might be one of those cases where you'd get away with it if it wasn't Apple's original artwork but similar enough to be recognised.
