Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked before - I daresay most questions to do with using this phone have come up already!

I already have an o2 contract which isn't up till April. Thought I was ok with not getting the iPhone but now would really love it. But would it work to buy the iPhone and use it with my current o2 contract, either cancelling the new one or offloading it onto someone else (unsuspecting husband etc)?

As it's not specifically unlocking it to another network I wondered if it would work...

:D

As standard the iPhone will only function with the supplied sim card and only when you have completed activation online via iTunes.

If you've had the contract since before September, you can simply cancel your existing contract and move onto an iPhone contract without incurring any cancellation fees. I did this and my contract and number was migrated within 30 minutes.
