Is it possible to disable the Face ID and having to use a passcode every time you use an iPhone?
I was able to do it on my iPad that has Touch ID and when I open the cover, it is ready to use.
I was considering getting a new iPhone 14 to replace my current 6Plus, which uses Touch ID, but I don't really want to use Face ID and would also like to avoid having to type in a passcode each time.

Yeah, just turn it off in Settings. It's the same deal as with TouchID. You don't have to use it.

And if you turn off the passcode then all you have to do is swype up to unlock.

Keep in mind that disabling FaceID and passcodes will disable all financial transactions unless maybe you enter the passwords manually in the app/website. IOW, you can’t buy stuff.
