I used iWeb 06 to knock up my website before, but does anyone know whether iWeb 08 treats text in the same manner as 06 did (as in converts it to an image) ??

Don't want to lose search optimisation or rely purely on metatags. I like iWeb because it's easy to use, complete novice on the web dev front. Have dabbled with Rapidweaver once or twice.

Can you alter code in iWeb/ Rapidweaver using an HTML editor ??

I haven't played with it yet, so I don't know if you can alter the code or not, but I have looked at a few sites created in the new version.

It handles text the same way. If it's a standard font, you'll get text. If it's not, you'll get an image.

And we still get the bloated inline style code. :( :( :(

How bizarre, I saved my current project using iWeb 08 and now text appears as text on the website and no longer as an image.
HOORAY !!!

:D
