Using MBP i7 logicboard in MBP i5

Hi,

I have a problem with my MBP 13" early 2011 with i5 2,3 Ghz (one of the thermal sensors on the logic board is broken). I want to buy a defect MBP which still has a usable logic board, so swap parts and have a fully operational MBP again. My question is: If I buy a MBP 13" early 2011 with i7 2,7 Ghz, can I use it's logic board and processor in my old computer (the i7 MBP has other defects, but not the logic board)?

What about the late 2011 MBPs? Are their logicboards compatible to my machine?

It should work fine aslong as the logic board you are going to use is from the same model year and size of your current ones.
there is no difference between the boards apart from the cpu.

You can go onto ifixit.com and look at the teardowns of both the early 2011 and late 2011 mbp's. In the high res photos of the logic boards pay attention to the size and location of all the connectors from the two boards. If they seem identical then there is a high chance that it would work.
Maybe do the above for the i5 and i7 boards aswell just incase.
