using movie recorder on WoW

Can someone help me? I am trying to record a movie using the builtin Mac Options on World Of Warcraft.
When I go to turn it on, it records for only like 5 seconds or so and then stops. Does anyone know how to get it to record longer? I'd like to just leave it on for a few minutes then exit out.

Movie start/stop is set to either [ or ]. Are you sure you aren't accidentally hitting it?

Nope... I'm not hitting the keys. I know that's what it is to turn it on. I press it once... and it says it is recording... then about 5 seconds later it suddenly tells me it is now compressing.

I am recording at 1920x1080 and I have about 700GB of space on my drive.
