Using my Mac Mini + TBD

When I use my Mac Mini and Thunderbolt Display at my place and in the store it's "different". It feels different, if that makes sense?
Perhaps if you put put an image together with your TBD and Apple Store TBD together so we could see.
My only guess when you say the look different is perhaps panels from different manufacturers, different colour calibration or perhaps different environmental lighting.

Same reason perhaps why photos in recipe books always look better than the results of my cooking efforts.
Either that or the there's merit in the cliche about grass and greenness
