All Devices Using my own fonts

My understanding is that with iPad OS you can now use your own fonts.

1. Can I install any font that I use on my Mac on my iPad?
2. Will all apps on my iPad have access to the font I place on my iPad?

Custom fonts will only be used in apps like Word/Pages and a VERY few apps. It won’t be system wide.
