Anyone know if it's possible to go from a PC to the new iMac and use it as a monitor. Apple Care says no. Anyone say yes?
 
AArrrghhhh. If the Thunderbolt is an i/o don't you think there would be some connector to make the conversion?
 
Looks like they took away Target Display Mode which would have allowed it. I hope some adapter company finds a work around.

They didn't remove Target Display Mode. Sadly, now it only works over Thunderbolt -> Thunderbolt connections.

I.e. you could use your 27" iMac as a display for your Thunderbolt MBP over a Thunderbolt cable.
 
I don't understand this.....

I thought the point of Thunderbolt was to be a universal port. A port that can plug into everything.

At the moment it's practically proprietary! XD
