using Palm as a graphics pad for MAC/PC???

Any way to use a palm as a graphics pad for drawing in applications on a Mac/PC (yes "why don't you just get a graphics pad" people......I will, I'm lazy, but inevitably will obtain one sooner or later)
I have wondered this for two years off and on and web searches are to no avail. THIS SHOULD BE FAIRLY EASY SHOULDN"T IT?!?!?! SYNCING WITH A PALM then using it a another computer peripheral in some application (drawing on the comp with fair results quality wise)

First off I haven't a clue how you'd manage to get your computer to receive real time data from your palm. Assuming you somehow managed it tho i'd say it would be kinda pointless. I doubt the palm screen would have the resolution sensitivity for you to do anything worthwhile.

If I recall correctly, there was a palm application that did precisely this back in the Palm V days. The palm application opened the Palm serial port and you ran an application on the windows machine which communicated with the application on the Palm. This application was aimed at people who wanted to create a signature image to attach to their word documents.

Maybe palmsource still has a link to the application.

Palm's screen is not suitable for drawing as it does not have "brush" tools like Painter IX, Photoshop, Illustrators, and others have.

I have been using Palm TX and LifeDrive at the same time. Even though their screen has a decent resolution for a hand held PDA, it is not a good medium to express your idea and concept in drawing. Also, Palm's screen does not recognize the pressure sensitive.

From your original post, I think you already know what would be the best way to achieve your objectives. Wacom tablet (I have 4X6 and 9X12 and they are awesome to work with my Macs) or get a tablet PC (I installed Alias Sketchbook Pro and Painter IX on that machine so that I can do the drawing right on the tablet PC's screen; my PC understands the pressure sensitivity for better drawing feels and results)
