using Panther and Mail, need help!

I just got Panther, which is a kick ass new OS, i am trying to make my hotmail address work, but have trouble connecting to the sever, also how do i set up my outgoing mail sever???

well I dont have a panther, but Mail can't manage working with Hotmail.. at least I couldnt make it work.. I use entourage for it which comes with the Office X..

You need the Hotmail Plugin

thanks, i got it to work!! put if someone could tell me how to set up my outgoing mail sever, i am using an airport with cable internet.....thanks

There should be a ReadMe file in the file that you downloaded that explains exactly how to setup your Outgoing Mail Server.

Let me know if you find it.

so you probably saw the Add Server... button. did you ISP give you the SMTP name?

that's all you need, unless the server requires authentication. then, you just need your ISP username and password.

i saw that button, i dont think so, i have comcast, with it on a airport network

use comcast's smtp info. doesn't matter about the wifi
