Monterey 12.6.6, Photos app. Upon importing new photos, be it from email or phone or anywhere, then opening a photo in full view, the zoom slider does nothing. This is also the case when using the Edit option -- the zoom is the full window and will not change. The slider is available (not dimmed or anything) and moves normally when click-dragged, but the image does not zoom -- it remains as large as the Photos window is set. The zoom has worked before although I cannot reproduce that right now. Might there be a setting or preference that has disabled the zoom, or interaction with other software? I will test this in safe mode and follow up here.

That is odd. My zoom slider works (Monterey 12.7, Photos Version 7.0 (460.0.120)).

One way to help narrow down you problem might be to log into a different Mac user account and try it there. (Create a temporary user if you need to.) If Photos zoom works OK there, the problem is something related to your current account (like non-default settings or a .plist file) or your particular Photos Library.

Thanks Brian... tried the new account, but same issue. Even small images display huge, and zoom slider comes up all the way to the right (IE, ~250% or whatever). Sliding to the left to reduce the zoom does nothing.
