Hello everyone,

I got a 2011 Mac Mini and installed 8 GB RAM in it. Being third party RAM (G-Skill), I would like to test it using Memtest. I downloaded the Memtest software and created a bootable CD.

The question is, how to use this disc in Mac Mini which got no optical drive?

I got a MBP and I can use Remote Disc when Mac Mini is booted. But, how to use Remote Disc as a boot option in my Mac mini?

Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Not entirely sure it's possible, but you could try burning the image to a Disk Image or a DMG and mount it in Finder. Under "Start Up Disk" in the System Preferences see if it's selectable to boot into; Maybe even do the same with the CD in your MBP.
