Using RipIt and Handbrake

I have read several people on the forum using RipIt and Handbrake together since RipIt does such a good job of breaking any copyright protection a DVD may have. The only downside is that RipIt doesn't let you choose the movie feature by itself and makes you copy it all.

My first question is about the average size of these "full feature" rips after being encoded by handbrake?

My second question is how the Apple TV handles "full feature" DVD encodes? Can it navigate all the menus?

RipIt makes a copy of the disc without the copy protection. With HandBrake, you pick the titles and chapters you want to encode. HandBrake sees the mounted disk image exactly as it would a DVD, it doesn't encode the menus and things.

I know that the Leopard DVD Player will play the mounted disk image exactly as it does a regular DVD, I don't know about AppleTV.
