I prefer to text and email by hand but I have played around with the google now voice commands from the website onthecouchagain provided and they work well. I won't be using it for that purpose but glad its available to me.

Google Now is limited with alarms and reminders.

It doesn't like dates.

Google Now says:

"Sorry, alarms and reminders support times of day but not dates."

If you want something similar to Siri on the Note 2, just use the built-in S-voice. Double click on home button.

S-voice is laggy and sluggish though. The lady voice in S-Voice sounds freaky.

Google Now is very pleasing to the senses in terms of colors, fonts and voice interaction. Google did a great job with it.
