I need some information about using Siri to send text messages on the MacBook pro. When I use Siri to send a text on the MacBook, she only sends it in iMessage format. Even to non iMessage numbers, with the result that the messages don't get delivered. I spoke to apple care at length about this and they said there is no information about this, so they can not help me. Is there a solution to this? or is Siri limited to sending only iMessages on the MacBook pro?

You might have better luck posting MacBook Pro questions in that forum, this is the Mac Pro (desktop) forum.

Since it's a feature issue you're having though, check out the macOS Sierra forum.

Thanks

Apple Care got back to me and said Apple is aware of the problem and they are working on a fix. The only way to bypass the bugs is to type in the text messages and not use Siri. That was their suggestion anyway
