Hi all,

I was wondering whether it is possible to back up a MacBook running macOS Sierra, to a PC? The two computers would be connected using TeamViewer, using an internet connection.

It would be very useful to be able to back up my Mac, which often has an internet connection on the go, to this PC that is connected to the internet, based at home.

I am at a loss as to how to configure this. If anyone could shed any light on this, that would be very helpful!

Thank you!

TeamViewer allows you to transfer files instead of connecting to the screen. You could make a copy of a number of important files that way.

But it's a hassle like that. Better install a decent backup program. The comment above me mentioned CrashPlan, I'd like to chip in with BackBlaze:

It only backs up to the cloud but it's very simple and easy to install. Five bucks a month.
