I'm in my attempt to switch from Android to iOS, the eco system is the main reason. But it seems there are a few caveats on the way. I'm currently using my phone as a regular alarm clock and regularly I wake up before the alarm is going off. On Android this is not an issue, two hours before the alarm is going off, the alarm is shown in the notifications where I can dismiss it. Can I build this on iOS somehow? Also that the volume of alarm and ringer are one and the same is odd for me, because I want my ringer to be silent at all times (I did this by using a silent ring tone, but it is kinda a hack I think).

Any tipps or hints how to improve the alarm clock for me or should I just get a separate alarm clock for a few euros and only the iPhone as a last resort?

On iPhone or iPad, put the alarm clock in Control center for quick, silent, access. Or if you don’t care about making sound, say, “Hey Siri, turn off the alarm.”

Thanks for the answers, will see what is working but it is really odd that volume for the alarm clock is the same volume as for the ringtone and notifications and others. That will be challenging to say the least. Because I usually want the notifications/ringtone quiet or off and the alarm sound loud. Sadly writing feedback to Apple is rather pointless. :-(

If you activate silent mode, your ringtone and notification sounds will be off/vibrate only, but your alarm clock will go off as normal.

That is not good enough, ringtone and notification sounds should always be silent, the silent mode thing is for me to turn off also vibrate. Yeah, I might be weird but that would be ideal for me but it is impossible the way iOS works right now. Damn eco system…

Maybe I should just get a alarm clock for my bed instead.

Set up a sleep focus. The alarm has its own volume and turning off the alarm will ask "Change next alarm only" or "Change this schedule".

That actually worked. Thank you. It also helps to get to sleep a little bit earlier than usual.
