Hello:
Google this subject and there are a millions discussions on it, usually going back 5+ years. I have a major problem with my internal SDD and need to format. When I try to download macOS even from within safe mode, I get an error that the download has failed gatekeeper policies. I also have a cracked monitor that recently went completely dark. I purchased an Arzopa external monitor, which has been great. But I don't care what they say in forums, I have:
1. Changed the battery settings so the OS "Never" goes to sleep when charging,
2. Connected bluetooth keyboard and mouse accessors,
3. Restarted the OS with the clamshell closed immediately afterward,
4. Attempted to get to internet restore.
The monitor does not stay on. it won't turn on at all, except to immediately go into "power saving mode," until after I've unlocked FileVault. If your MacBook screen no longer works and your SDD is on the friits, how the hell does Apple expect you to restore it?
