Hi,

Sometimes for work, i need to share my screen. Like a word document, PDF document, specific website.
Only thing is, i only want to share 1 screen, and not my whole desktop

Same as in MS team, you have to option to share you whole desktop or just 1 app. Is this also possible if i want to connect an external monitor to my Mac?

Are you asking whether Teams will still allow you select a single app to screen share if you have an external monitor? Yes.

No .. i want that same feature in MacOS .. connect an external monitor .. and only share the screen of one single app .. not the complete desktop

so basicly what i need:

* connect monitor
* pop up should appear; do you want to share your desktop or a single app (choose app)

You can have a second monitor setup as an extended desktop, then drag your desired window to the external monitor. If you make that window full screen, it will then fill just that external screen with your desired window.

How sophisticated do you need? Put what you want on the second screen.
You can do that either with a mirrored screen, or an extended desktop.
If you are sharing a screen in Teams, I prefer extended desktop.
