iPhone X Using wear OS watch with an iPhone ?

I had bought a Fossil explorer gen 3 for my Note 8 and now since I have an iPhone X I’m using it on my iPhone . I actually prefer it then the Apple Watch but I’m curious what can’t it do on iOS vs Android ?
