Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a small project I’ve been working on called Valentine’s Dock, which brings a bit of seasonal romance to your Mac desktop for Valentine’s Day! Rather than altering any system icons, it creates two soft animations:

  • Falling Hearts: Delicate hearts gracefully descend from the status bar at the top of your screen.
  • Rising Hearts: More hearts gently float upward from the bottom of your screen, creating a playful effect.
It all runs in the background using LSUIElement, so there’s no clutter in your Dock or menu bar. The whole idea is to keep it fun and festive without getting in the way of everyday work.

Anyone who wants to add a touch of Valentine’s charm to their setup can do so easily. I’d love to get feedback from the MacRumors community—especially if you have suggestions for future updates, like customizable heart sizes, extra color themes, or even interactive elements.

If you’re interested, you can check out Valentine’s Dock on the Mac App Store. Thanks for reading, and I hope it adds a bit of cheer to your desktop this Valentine’s!
