I can't think of any reason why this option is disabled. It's so annoying when I have to change my grip to do something simple like bring up Control Center to change volume while I'm holding my Pencil. Do people draw that close to the edge? Why can't they give us the option of deciding if we want edge swiping with Pencil or not?

Never mind

I agree 100%. I like to use my pencil to swipe up but now I can’t, so I have to use my finger or another stylish. Luckily I also have the mouse which I can do it as well, but not the expensive Apple Pencil. Apple also she gave us a proper pointer using our mouse instead of the circle. What is Apple doing trying to be cute with something different than the normal

It’s Apple’s way of micromanaging you. It’s their way or the highway!

Btw, I hate this Pencil behavior too and the main reason I rarely use it. Add a stupid toggle or something and let us decide.

I know it's annoying, but can't you use your pinky without changing your grip?
