Validator down, or just me?

Whenever I try to validate via file upload through the W3C's Validator, I'm getting errors as if the document I uploaded was blank. Is this something weird going on with my web browser/net connection (I don't think so, as it was doing it on another computer as well), or is it just the Validator spazzing out?

I was helping somebody learning the basics of the web today, and it was disconcerting when I went to validate what he'd been working on and got a "no doctype!" error, when there clearly was one.

Hmm... works now for me as well. Since I didn't do anything in the interim, I'm going to assume there was some sort of external problem, at least at the ISP level, given that the person I was teaching was having trouble on his own computer as well.

Weird.
