Hey, I thought this would be the best place to ask.
I’m looking to sell my very good condition 2013 iMac with a CD burner/rewriter built in. It’s on the latest OS software. No scratches on the screen. Full working order. I’ve seen loads of iMacs for sale which are either 2013 or 2014 but they don’t come with a built in cd slot. I’m not sure whether it’s an extra option when this model came out or whether models I’m seeing are newer/older than mine? Most without the CD drive are being sold at £350-400+ & a few have screens worse for wear, would mine be worth the same or more than this?
What would be the best value to sell it at??
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

There isn’t any extra option for a built in cd drive for the slims - the last iMac to have one was the 2011 model

As previously stated, you have the model and year wrong if your iMac has a built in optical drive. You can look it up yourself with Mactracker, but the last iMac model to have a built in optical drive was the 2011 model. That's likely what you have or perhaps even an earlier model. That lowers the value for what your iMac is worth.

An Imac from 2013 should be worth a good healthy price, in the 600$ US or more range depending on the RAM and SSD drive since they are involved to upgrade. You should get what you want for that iMac!

That would be true if in fact her iMac is a 2013 model. However, if it has an optical drive it's either a 2011 or older iMac.

BTW, like your cat photo. We had one just like that who lived for 17 years before passing on. :)

Mine is 3 years old and met her when she was 4 weeks old

Yes, built-in optical drive means 2011 iMac or older - and USB 2.0, and too old for the latest system installed natively.
