Hi All,

Myself and a friend have just released a new game for the iPhone called vConqr. It's a turn based strategy game based on Risk, which you may remember from your childhood... we're just two guys who are doing this in our (limited) spare time. Any feedback would be appreciated!

We're currently working on new AI, which has just recently started the beat the pants of me (a seasoned Risk player!). Hopefully we'll be able to get this released within the next couple of weeks.

I think that it is a really great game. Although I can beat it everytime, maybe put in different difficulties next update?

The new version does have two levels of difficulty, hard and easy. The easy AI will be the same as the current AI, the hard will give you a run for your money.

I'll keep this thread (and our blog http://www.vconqr.com/blog) updated with information on the next release, which will have the much improved AI work included.

We had to cut the AI work last minute on this release, as it was delaying going live. Our release schedules are going to be much shorter in the future, so there will be no more waiting 2 months for an update.

Jonnii is referring to the currently unreleased version. As he mentioned, we had to pull it from the one that went out last week, but we're readying it for a follow up shortly.

I believe you mentioned some time back about getting an ad-hoc build. If you send us your UDID we'll add you to our beta programme. Drop us a line on the feedback form on the website (that goes for anyone reading this).

Technically, that's all we need, yes. Ideally we'd like to know a bit about you - like a name, whether you already own the game (not required), and any features you're particularly looking for.

Oh, and beta slots are limited, so obviously we reserve the right to select arbitrarily.

FYI: The new version, 1.2, has gone live on the app store now. The three A.I. levels are all present, as are in-game help, A.I. speed control, full-screen, and other small tweaks and fixes.
