Has anyone been able to get a Vega 64 running on a MacPro 3,1 with Mojave? I'm able to boot but not with video. I'm using the motherboard power which the Vega64 is powering on an recognizing the power. And outputting two displays via DisplayPort. I've also tried HDMI to no luck either.

The processors in the Mac Pro 3,1 lacks SSE4,2 support - which unfortunately is required for the AMD graphic driver to load.

Your only option is to exchange your graphic card for an NVIDIA based one (when the web driver is available) or buy an old Mac Pro 4,1/5,1, which has support for SSE4,2.

Pressure, is that SSE4,2 requirement specific to the *Vega* driver only, the AMD *Mojave* driver, or some other AMD component? Just curious.
No, it is a requirement for High Sierra and Mojave. The AMD graphic driver doesn’t load unless SSE 4,2 is present.

I just upgraded from a 3,1 because of this. It was cheaper than a new graphic card. No problems now with my Vega FE and Mac Pro 4,1.
