A word of warning from a new Mini owner.

I have my 2011 mini sat on my desk with my iPhone charge lead plugged in the back and reaching around the front. I noticed that it was tucked across the front of the mini against the plastic base so I checked my temps as I understand the front on the case is where air is drawn in to cool the machine. my temperature was 58 degrees before I moved the cable and they now sit at 53 degrees whilst idle and web surfing.

I know these temperatures aren't excessive by any means but it does show the importance of keeping the front of the mini clutter free - on my previous mini I raised it slightly using AcoustiFeet http://www.acoustiproducts.com/en/acoustifeet.asp soft feet, which also help to place the mini and not have it move about when inserting USB sticks etc.

I'm sure that this has bee covered but I just thought I'd share my findings.
