Ventura - SENT email reminder

Hello,
I love that Apple has finally introduced reminder in their Mac Mail. I was hoping to have the reminder feature on the sent emails.

I see the reminder options grayed out on the sent messages. do you know how to activate?

FYI, it works well on the inbox.

It's possible that Apple does not see the need for reminders to to be set on emails that have already been sent! A possible workaround that might work for you could be to enable the Mail setting that makes it automatically 'Bcc:' yourself when you send out an email, then set a reminder on the copy of the sent email that shows up in your Inbox.
