Seems to be available mostly in small towns. DFW area has no sub 6 coverage except for a few mm spots in downtown Dallas and Arlington. They each cover a few blocks. My kid lives in Beebe Arkansas and they have 5G coverage. Hopefully this will improve before the phone arrives but I fear not.

Looks like there is a lot of coverage in NJ which is good for me. (Not surprising given their headquarters are across the street.)

I'm still a little perplexed as to why Apple incited the CEO of VZ to come out on stage and announce that VZ was turning on 5G service. So, all the people who bought and use the Samsung 5G phones months ago were not actually using a 5G service? VZ also got some push back on Twitter because all the carriers are just using marketing jargon to talk about 5G like it is readily available.

In my area, the 5G (sub 6Ghz) service has some funky wavy shape, and the 5G mmWave service is available on only one street through my downtown area for a couple of blocks and at an area around our airport.

Years ago when 5G was starting to be talked about, I had high hopes the deployment would have been better.

From what I’ve read they bet the house on the mm version and ran into trouble. They are now doing DSS to turn on sub 6 but map suggests they are updating in unexpected places.

My theory is the remote locations were the last to get 4G and have the newest equipment on their end. Easiest to upgrade, maybe even software. Larger cities got 4G first so oldest equipment that requires more hardware replacement and is going slower.
