So, I just received my 13 pro max. I have Verizon and they offered me $1000 for my 11 pro max. I haven’t even opened up the box yet and I’m having buyers remorse. I think I want the pixel 6 pro. However, the trade in offer looks terrible. It says a max of $350! WTF? Does anyone think Verizon would honor the same or similar trade in that I had for the 13 pro and allow me to return the 13 and order the pixel 6? Anyone have any ideas/insight/advice?

An iPhone 13 Pro Max for a Pixel 6? No way, the iPhone 13PM is the much better phone hardware wise. Even a straight trade you are getting ripped off. See if you can return the 13 Pro Max and then buy the Pixel 6.

Edit: Your title says Pixel 6 but you want the 6 Pro? Which is it?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I just received the 13 pro max and haven’t even opened it yet. I think I’m still in the return window. My question stems from my trade in. With the iPhone 13 they gave me 1000 for my 11 max which is insane. Basically makes the 13 pm free. I could send it back to Verizon but Verizon is only offering 350 trade in for my 11 max if I buy a pixel 6 pro. Doesn’t make any sense so I was wondering if Verizon would allow me the same trade in allowance for the pixel 6 pro.

Thanks for clearing that up. You will have to ask Verizon that but it doesn’t sound like they are going to offer you the deal that you want. Personally it boils down to how much you prefer iOS vs Vanilla Android.

The iPhone is a much better phone hardware wise. You are also going to get a much higher trade in value with the iPhone than any Pixel you buy. That’s one of the many benefits of buying Apple hardware. If it were me i’d keep the iPhone PM but unfortunately, it’s not my decision.

Thanks. I feel it’s coming down more to the software than hardware decision. Lately, iOS just isn’t doing it for me. The limitations are really beginning to interfere with how I want to use my phone. I prefer a phone where I can automate many functions such as turning on and off certain VPN connections depending on location and network. iOS shortcuts are pitiful and I really want something with macrodroid functionality. Plus, for whatever reason, my vpn (private internet access) has issues on my iPhone and causes the Wi-Fi to disconnect while on my old spare pixel 3a, the Wi-Fi and vpn connection are rock solid on android 11. It’s the little things like that that are driving me crazy with iOS. I wish the iPhone offered a “pro mode” which allowed the same type of customization, file system access, and functionality as android.

More than likely, Verizon isn’t going to offer the same deal trading in the 11 Pro Max for an iPhone vs Pixel phone. You have to decide if you want to use a Pixel or an iPhone. Me personally I like iPhones better because they work for me and Apple’s customer service support is better than what Google would offer.

They will not give you same trade in amount.. Verizon is looking to move older iPhone users to new iPhone.. They set each promo per device.. There might be a bettee trade in for the Pixel 6 Pro possibly down the line depending what they are looking to promote...

We tend to be junkies on gadgets, hoping and hoping for a fix.

Surface Duo, Samsung phone, iPhone X and 12'Pro. Tablets, both surface and ipad, Mac mini running Windows... So I'm the, keep an Android and Apple gear. But I have not liked vanilla Android in the past though A12 is good - using on S21U it is just better, not enough to me to change.

There's more polish and app features on iOS that I'd never be without an iPhone. I'm also invested in iCloud photos.
