Finally got my iPhone 5S Gold so looking to sell my iPhone 5 which is jailbroken, running on iOS 6.1.2. I wish to sell as a jailbroken device still as I can probably get a little bit extra for it. What's the best way to do a clean restore of 6.1.2 so I can jailbreak again?

Anything I need to know?

There's something called SemiRestore . That should do the trick.

I don't think the developers of semi-restore are active in keeping their tweak up to date.

iLEX RAT on the other hand does an excellent job for what the OP has in mind.

Thanks. Willing to try semi-restore but the Mac download link appears to be down at the site...anyone have a working link?

I don't think so, it left data on my iPhone 4s that I wasn't willing to take a chance with, specifically login info in /Library/Keychains/keychain-2.db

How desperate does the new buyer need to be to access your stuff?
Seriously, the new buyer is looking for an iPhone. You sell him yours and do the best you can to restore (keeping Cydia) and as soon as the new owner plugs it into his iTunes and begins to use it, whatever traces of your information is for all intent and purposes, gone.

thanks for the help guys, ilex rat was awesome! quick and easy and exactly what I needed done

For the possibility of a few extra bucks on eBay, it wasn't worth it to me. The keystore file had login info for a lot of my accounts. Currently on eBay, the highest priced jail broken 64gb iPhone 4s with bids that I see, is going for $220 with 3 days left and one just sold a few minutes ago for $315. I sold my non-jailbroken 64gb 4s a week ago for $290

Understood.
If anything, just for peace of mind.

On a side note, both the iP4S & the iP5 have taken hits on used pricing! Surprisingly, the iP4 has not.
