I got me an iphone 5s on ebay the other day. One thing I noticed was that it was not reset, so my curiosity lead me to look in to it since im not familiar with apple( I've had android till now). I noticed that the guy did not erased the pictures or cleaned any of his data so I did a hard reset in order to set up the phone to my account. Thats when I found out that the phone apparently had the "find my phone" feature on which links it to an icloud account. Because off this the phone will not allow me to set it up because I have to enter this guys icloud ID and password which I dont have. I contacted the sealer and he said that the phone was not his, that it was a friend's and that he would contact him about the issue. Im yet to receive word from the sealer. I was able to find the possible owner of the phone facebook account by searching for his name and then I found a picture on his profile that I had seen on the phone previous to the hard reset, so thats how I know is him. I told him about the problem but he never got back to me, so I'm stuck with a phone that does not work and a great deal of frustration. Paid 100 dollars for the sucker. Is there anything(whatever that may be) that can be done to make it work?

Thanks.

Short of the previous owner removing the iCloud Activation Lock or perhaps having original receipt from Apple proving ownership and thus having Apple remove iCloud Activation Lock, there isn't anything that can be done.

is there any component inside the phone that can be exchanged that will make the device unrecognizable by the Icloud kind of to turn it into a different device. I dont know... maybe something like the mother board or something like that?

[MOD NOTE]
There's no way to bypass the iCloud lock and if these threads usually devolve into accusations and bickering, so I'm locking it now.
