Did you all notice Verizon has disabled the Samsung Cloud feature from our phone?? This is my 1st Android in years, so I'm glad Verizon allows 14 days to return the device. I've fully ported everything from the iPhone (minus most texts and it mixes up all your photos, had to re make folders and manually go through 3500 pictures today, frustrating).

Also, is the only way to download ring tones (iTunes Store downloads right to the phone and ring tone folder) but here we have to download to a computer and THEN plug to the phone and manually move it??

Does Verizon Cloud back up like the iCloud, saves all apps, folders, settings, etc?

So far I'm 50/50 on the phone, it's beautiful, but even credit card and bank apps on the iPhone used the finger print scanner instead of doing a password every time, seems all the same apps on Android do not offer it, and my Discover card and Citi Skymiles card don't allow Android Pay. So gotta play with this for the next week or so and see which I like more

Yeah. I prefer to get international universal version in a few months. I have att and Verizon.

Both its sucks cause I like wifi calling and USA carriers lock down this wifi calling "feature" for only their own branded android version

Have you tried Samsung Pay instead to see if your banks participate with that program?

Not yet. I tried Android Pay at Walmart since they say pretty much any swipe machine can use it.... And nothing. Lol
[doublepost=1471741247][/doublepost]Oppsss actually it's Samsung Pay that's available almost anywhere, Android Pay is more like Apple Pay, only accepted at certain places

I haven't played much with it, I use OneDrive for cloud and have been quite happy with them. I think it's terrible that they blocked Samsung cloud, but for myself I don't really care much.

I can use my fingerprint for BofA sign in, works very nicely.

I also read on another forum that some kind of memory management app is missing from our build. I have called Verizon and given them an earful about this cloud nonsense. I said block iCloud if you're blocking Samsung. I told them I will leave them taking all four of my lines if this doesn't end now.

I use both my Discover card and a Citi card with Android Pay. I have a Chase card that ISN'T supported.

Does the Onedrive work like Apples iCloud?

I just switched to AT&T for this reason (coverage is equal where I live) . Have and enough of Big reds bs. But btw u can enable Samsung Cloud on the Verizon model now just FYI

AT&T does their own crap, don't believe the grass is greener on that side. I was with them for 10 years and recently switched to Verizon due to some dead spots. U guys also have Samsung Cloud disabled, but can enable it with the same trick.

One thing that always bothered me on AT&T is they took away the hotspot button from the quick settings menu. So you would have to dig into the settings EVERY freakin time you wanted to turn hotspot on/off. Even the hotspot button apps on the Play market didn't work, I downloaded and tried dozens of them in my quest. With Verizon the hotspot button is in the quick settings so it's literally 2 touches, one for the pulldown screen and the 2nd for the hotspot toggle, nice. I don't mean to say that Verizon is better, just that they are both awful and each has their own example of their intrusiveness.

It's great if you talk with your wallet and walk away, but IMO this is more Samsung's fault for letting them walk all over them.

Oh I def agree that att is no Saint but imo they are much better than Verizon with that crap (although much worse with updates) Samsung Cloud is not hidden like it is pm the Verizon model. It's definitely buried deep in the settings but not completely hidden

I was under the impression that it was indeed hidden by the comments of others in this thread. But I don't know that by personal experience and I'll trust you since you have the phone in front of you. Yeah Verizon was being sneaky, they didn't even uninstall or specifically disable it, they just hid the shortcut.

Yeah i actually have both models sitting in front of me right now. I thought AT&T blocked it as well and it wasn't until I unlocked the Verizon Samsung Cloud and knew what it looked like that I was able to find it on the AT&T model
