The data is limited to 5Mbps LTE however
Which should be plenty for any phone needs. Faster speeds are completely unnecessary for phones other than it allows companies to advertise those "amazing" speeds. They are meaningless because they also artificially created data usage limits, so if you were to actually use the fast speeds you would blow through your data cap quickly.

I think I read LTE only on another thread. Not sure how I feel about that. It's nice to have the backup.

LTE only would obviously make calling VoLTE. That's a plus, at least.

I disagree. I have unlimited LTE with speeds up to 50Mbps for not much more than this. But hey, do what you want

If you don't describe what kind of plan you have, carrier, location, any discounts you have applied, bundles, etc... then this comment is pretty meaningless. Close to $40 with unlimited 50mbps LTE just doesn't exist unless you can provide actual details.

Ok so what is the best way to score an invitation to "visible"?

The article I read says you can also download an iOS app an apply within the app. The article never mentioned the name of the app.

The service is also geared towards younger people.

5Mbps is not that bad. I can watch 720p YouTube videos on Verizons DSL 2Mbps. And Netflix movies at 720p.
At 5Mbps, I will be able to watch 720p60 YouTube videos or 1080 videos.

$40, no cap, no priority, unlimited...is a win win in my book.

I just signed up for this service today. It needs an invite code and I just searched google for an invite and immediately found one that worked. I should have my sim card Wednesday. They overnight it but since it's late Monday now, it won't ship till Tuesday.

Is this considered a better deal for people who have unlimited already with say two people on the line?

Does it come close to the below speeds with 10gb hotspot and Hulu included for $50 a month?

If not then what’s the point?

My sim card never arrived on Wednesday as I though it would. There has been no communication other then on signup completion on Monday that it would be overnighted.
