ok so me and my friend have been going back and forth with trying to figure out why her Verizon Black Berry Tour sends pictures to me, but i never get them. She can always get mine now and only time she wasn't getting my pictures was on the old carrier file and right as soon as MMS was deployed so that could have been trafficking errors.

so after a while of me not even getting any of her picture messages...( mind you i can get and receive pictures from any other phone/carrier. it seems to only be Verizon BB.) She decided to go to the verizon store and have this sorted out since she had called multiple times.

the tech guy said that the same thing had been happening to him and he said the work around right now is to change the setting on the blackberry. the settings she changed (mind you i dont know the exact way to do it) was to decrease the way the picture size is after its taken....meaning instead of taking it in superfine mode. you take it in normal mode. He said this is the work around until iPhone release a patch, which honestly im sure he ment at&t, because from the looks of it, it might be because at&t put up a mms picture size limit.

anyway i just find it funny that verizon and others always think they know that apple will def. release a patch lol. well hopefully this work around works.

what? who said anything about porting? my friend has verizon bb i have at&t apple.

This is really good to know and quite convenient for me. Just this weekend my friend tried sending me a picture from her Verizon Blackberry and I just wouldn't receive it. She's the only one I have a problem with. Now I have to ask her if she's taking the picture in the best quality mode. Thanks for this.

Its not an iPhone issue. With rogers here I don't have any issues with receiving any mms.

No one ever said it was an iPhone issue. The claim is that AT&T limits file sizes delivered to it's subscribers. And the way AT&T handles their business I'm not surprised, they're not happy unless they're crippling their end-user.

I was confirming that. So yes someone did mention it. The tech guy.

I've had the same problem - Verizon BlackBerry Tour to iPhone.

I'll try changing the camera settings and I'll report back on what I find.

Edit:

Nope. Still doesn't work. Verizon BlackBerry to AT&T iPhone (3GS in my case). Even with picture size of 640x480 at normal quality.

Additionally, SMS messages will also fail if sent from the iPhone and the text contains Apple emoji icons. Text works fine, but an emoji character will cause the message not to be received on the BB.
