I am going to graduate school this fall(Virginia Tech) and the best service by far on campus is verizon. I currently have T-Mobile and the best coverage they have is 3g. Walked into a building and my service went out. Most of the buildings use "Hokie Stone" which is very difficult to penetrate.

My question is, which device do you recommend? Id like something with a 4.5" screen or bigger. That and 32 gb or more storage because I like to keep a lot of music on my phone. That immediately narrows it down to the Galaxy s4 and possibly HTC One and Droid MAXX. I just wish AT&T didnt have the 64gb exclusivity for the HTC One. Battery life is fairly important. Also like to take pictures, but not all the time.

I am not a huge fan of the new touchwiz features, so I figure those can be disabled. Smart Scroll, hover touch, etc. Keep smart pause though.

I really want the moto x, but 16gb is barely cutting it :(

Well, on verizon I think your stuck with either the S4 or Note, though there should be an optional 32gb version of the moto x. The One still isnt out yet though, the rumors suggest by the end of the month but those are just rumors, nothing confirmed.

Have you checked to see if you can use the call over wifi feature from t-mobile? That way when your in the buildings you can still make and recieve calls using the schools wifi.

The S4 is wonderfully adaptable. I have a 16 GB model with a 32GB micro sd card which my music is on. I have disabled the Touchwiz features I don't use. I came from an Iphone 5 and don't miss it at all. Verizon lets you try it for 14 days and return it. Give it a go.

I have to get a new phone anyway. I ported my iphone 4s from att - only phones you buy from tmobile have the wifi calling feature.

I believe after reading a few articles(androidcentral, etc) that the 32gb is also exclusive to att...le sigh

I want to look at the droid maxx though. I like the features that the x has, seem more practical for me. Droid maxx has those features

I was considering it, but wish there were more apps for what I do most(mobile banking is the biggest miss)

How much space is there after formatting?
