Verizon with MACBOOK ?

i like to know when i will be able to use EVDO with VERIZON on a MACBOOK.It has no express card slot so will it work with A USB? or Will it be coming out in the future ? I love to buy a MACBOOK, BUT I NEED TO BE CONNECTED without using WiFi. it is possible ?

You can go through your Verizon PHONE, either USB cable or bluetooth and use the EvDO that way! I believe you can just get a data plan and use it like that. If you use EvDO on a non data plan you just get charged per minute or something.

Get an EVDO router. like i have. it works seamlessly.(but you eed a PC with a pcmcia slot to register and start the service. it takes a kyocera verizon wireless card, and goes into the router. and it outputs wireless or through an ethernet cable. works very well

My Experience With HowardForums Is Paying Off Outside of It...

Okay, I've seen many a topics on this. Verizon does let you tether your phone via USB and Bluetooth if you pay the $60 BroadBand Access Plan (if you already have a voice line). This includes Mobile Web, if you're into that. You can also do it illegally, but we're not going to take that route on MacRumors.

The only option to do tethering legally is paying $60-80 per month. You cannot tether via EVDO and only expect to be using minutes. That is big NO-NO and you will be caught easily. Plus, most phones you need to hack in order to tether with EVDO. You can't even tether via 1xRTT speeds legally.

Please don't do it illegally. People have been screwed over.
