it has a lot more animation than the previous one and I'm constantly working on it. this new version is a lot more professional looking compared to my previous one, but i'm still working on it as i'm studying school.

ps. my portfolio is suppose to reflect more of a developer side than designer side, but i do have an eye for design...

It's boring. And I wouldn't choose the texts or colors you used.

The animation is nice.

From here on out, just publish updates to your website in THIS thread. Don't create any new ones :)

you like spamming your own links a lot eh?

wow, so my second post constitutes spamming my link A LOT? dude, you need to get out more instead of being stuck on this forum... and apply to become a mod or something but chillax.. it's only a forum

actually I've been posting less & less because of so many garbage threads like this. "ohh check out my generic website, I made it on my mac, and now I"m gonna go potty, good for me!"

I like your animations, I know how time consuming animation can be with making thing just "work" nicely.

The site itself looks very "flat" try to use less of the white boxes and you will find the heirachy for the text box, buttons, and overall interface will look easier to distiguish.

You also have to remember when you are putting a web based portfolio online you really have to look at what design agencies sites are like, it will give you an excellent idea of what the places you are trying to work at have for expectations and the level of design skills are.

Companies like Elmwood, M&C Saatchi and Tribal DDB are the best at what they do, look at their sites and see what would work for your online portfolio (I'm not saying carbon copy but look, learn and get ideas). I hope this helps this advise was given to me by my of my university lecturers.

Keep it simple and make sure it's your work (I have seen a tonne of web portfolios which are just from Template Monster).

thanks for your input and yes, i'll do that... thanks for the links and your comments, greatly appreciated :)

I liked your animation, but don't like your designs.

1. Your logo, is it supposed to be "DF"? It looks like cartoon wings to me.

2. The pictures under each page, lightning, sunset, universe, is that supposed to mean something?

3. Portfolio and artwork page, it's a pain having to click through each page, I suggest having thumbnails and have numbers for each one, where am i and how many do you have left.

4. What's up with the empty space to the left?

Hope that helps. :)

I haven't read the other posts, just the top original post, so here's my thoughts...

First, the bad (let's get it over with). The first thing I noticed was font. It's a personal preference thing I know, but the font seems a tad boring.

The second thing that caught my eye was the empty space (vertical rectangle) to left of the site. You could do something really neat with that space or just remove it and rework the size of your design, etc. You got options, heck, you probably already have a plan for it.

Now, the positive (Yay!). I like the animation. The site is simple, quick, and I like it. I do like the logo, and your artwork is neat. ;)

I'd say good job!

thanks for the input... all comments and criticism are greatly appreciated...

the left 'box' is actually going to contain content... (working on it)
yes, i do think it needs a better font, still looking for a decent free font to use.
thumbnails is a good idea and i was thinking of doing it but decided not to use it. but i might incorporate it later though.
it's still a work in progress and i'll continue to add adjustments and content.
the pictures on the bottom represent my interests and me as a person. (i.e. i love nature, i draw/doodle) and it adds something nice to look at besides boxes.

thanks again for taking time to review it.

greatly appreciated

I like it. Except the picture in the corners on the pages are a bit space consuming the way they are arranged. But nice!
