My 2011-17" MBP with a Vertex 3 - 120GB Max IOPS SSD has a HDD temperature of 128°C according to iStat.
Both fans are running at 2000rpms.
Battery: 29°C
CPU: 52°C
GPU: 48°C
Surface below screen is hot, but not extremely hot.

Should I worry about this or is it just something with the sensor? How does the measurement of the hdd-temperature work?

There is no temp. sensor in the SSD ;)

It would be better if it didn't give any value because this questions comes up a lot.

The latest firmware for my drive by them has changed that reading to be fixed at 30 to solve just that problem perhaps the OP should check for an update for his drive, could be fixed in that as well.
