I have only had this iPad for two and a half weeks and I noticed some vertical and horizontal lines starting IMG_0026.JPG on the top right corner of the display. I am already called Apple Support and they told me to send it to them so they can take a look at it. I just don't know if it will be worth it. Does the whole screen need to be replaced? It is not cracked in any way. I am just debating if I should take a loss and sell it for parts on Ebay and buy a different iPad or let the Apple people look at it.

They will give you a new one. After they look around and see if it has been dropped or damaged.

Sell it for parts on ebay?? Hell no. Take it back. Thats a warranty thing all the way. Definitely covered. Except for the inconvenience of having to take the time to bring it in, no worries.

You’ve got a cracked screen. No doubt about it being cracked. You can see the cracks radiating from a point if you zoom your image.

Apple might cover it if there’s no dent or obvious point of impact but going from experience they’ll likely call it accidental damage.

Good eyes. I didnt catch that. The OP didnt mention it, so i wasnt looking for cracks.

Gosh ! Apple's quality has gone from bad to worst !! what kind of screen is this ??

Unlikely to be covered as it looks like the iPad was dropped and the screen was cracked. Take it back and ask though, usually being nice to an Apple rep can go a long way. They may allow you to buy Apple Care and run it under that.

Doesn't purchasing Applecare on the device utilize a test of some sort? How does it check for screen damage or cracks?

Thanks everyone. I forgot I bought AppleCare plus when I bought it so they should be able to fix it...
