Hello everyone.

I just got cyan line in the middle of the Apple cinema display 30 that is connected to nMP 6 core, D500.
I had to take a photo of the screen because the line does not shows in screen shots. Also line does not
disappears after restarts or after resolution changes.

I hope someone can give me some clue or help with this.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have another computer? At least it helps to know if it's the nMP's problem or the monitor itself.

I just connected this moment my screen MacBook and definitely, thank god, the problem is in the screen.
So does it make sense to try it to fix or i just need to buy a new screen?

Did you tried it on the MacBook with the same cable?
Might be a cable's fault and not a monitor's one...

Try another cable and see if that happens on Mac Pro or Mac Book and let us know.

Hmm, i will try it. I need to buy a new cable than, this is the only one i have.
And it is connected to thunderbolt adapter since currently i have only thunderbolt machines around.

Searching for "apple cinema display vertical lines" gives a fairly long list of users with similar faults. While some appear to have been cable faults, many seem to be diagnosed as a failure between the monitor's logic board and the LCD itself.
