Vertical green line on the right edge of screen @144Hz

Hi there,

My Studio (base, 1TB) is working great, but I noticed a green vertical line on the right edge of my screen of my external monitor. It's a 1440p monitor and it's connected through HDMI @144Hz. On 120Hz the green line is gone.

Is there something wrong with my Studio that this issue occurs? Or is it because of the HDMI port or cable or macOS?

I'd like to hear your thoughts...

The display engine still needs some work to better support a wider range of monitors.

This happens on other monitors as well, for example if I run the Dell UP3218K at 3840x4320 I also get a single line of green pixels on the right side of the monitor.

I doubt it.

Apple have made it clear that we can only count on proper support by using their displays.

Be sure to provide information via the Feedback Assistant, the more the merrier and helpfully enough complain about the issues to raise a red flag internally at Apple.

Ok, I will! It's a bit disapointing, but I guess it's not something a replacement or other model Mac will solve then.

Maybe connecting via Displayport is still the way to go.

Update: I bought an USB-C to Displayport 1.4 adapter and now my Studio supports the full refresh rate of my monitor: 165Hz and variable refreshrate!

And no green line at the right side of the screen.
