so i just put on the full body Bodyguardz protective film on my iphone 3g and noticed that i have these vertical lines that are somewhat fluorescent when tilting the iphone in an angle. there are about 5 of them. i didnt notice them when i had the Bodyguardz off but i didnt turn on the phone without them. could this be the condensation that hasnt evaporated yet under the film as i had to spray the film with the solution that came with the Bodyguardz. there are some spots on the screen that is noticeable where condensation still exists but that is normal but these 5 vertical lines are pretty straight.

also, i had to remove my previous Bodyguardz because it was put on incorrectly by me and it was pretty tough to remove them. could it have damaged the screen when i removed it? i was gentle but it was still a good tug.

exactly the same happened to me, although I have added the invisible shield. No idea if it's the shield or the screen. I have about 6 perfectly vertical lines of 5 or 6 pixels long 1px wide.

Your screen is borked. Take it to an apple store. Verticle lines appear when the LCD display is breaking. If this happens within the first few weeks of buying the product the display was probably borked to begin with. Usually the lines are pink/red in color but they can also be white and black and 1 pixel in width. Unfortunately the problem will usually always get worse. Eventually the display will stop working entirely.

i'm pretty sure its the screen protector. they are clear lines but noticeable when tilting the phone. i think its condensation from solution from the screen protector. if it is the screen i'm still under warranty so i will take it in if the probelm gets worse or if it dies altogether. would the screen protector void the apple warranty?

Any update on the subject? I've just installed bodyguardz on the totally new iPnone that I never turned on, so I don't know if it's the screen. would kinda suck taking the cover off just to test. will do if no one answers.

i took off the cover and the lines were gone so rest assured its the screen protectors. its kind of like stretcg marks.

Thanks. I was 99% sure it was the cover since you can see less visible lines all over, however, 1% of doubt was due to the fact that I didn't check the phone while it was without the screen AND also because my prior application of BG cover on another iPhone did not not yield such odd results.

I heard those lines were a common problem with InvisibleShield.

I e-mailed BodyGuardz and got a prompt reply. Their customer service representative said they would send me a replacement.

Once again, great service from them.

Yes, I just noticed a half inch vertical line on my screen, and I have the invisibleshield on my 3g iphone. It actually is pretty annoying when you are using the phone. I am going back to the Mall Kiosk that applied mine to get a new application.
