very odd phone behaviour (unlocked)... question

so ive had my phone for months now, since 111. It's been unlocked all ways when they were released and so on. I restored to 114 when it came out and unlocked it again, as usual. all had been perfectlky fine... until this evening? Used my phone to order some (crappy) pizza at about 830. Just now, at roughly 2AM i picked it up to check something and realized it had no service... it was on teh last bar, but actually had _no_ service. Rebooted it, reseated sim, nothing. Put in my tmobile sim (i'm on rogers in canada, but have a us cell for work) and it picked it up, then lost the signal and wouldn't get it back putting in any... after playing a little bit it started to pick up service and would then drop it as soon as you use the phone. So, I decided to give it a shot and re-unlock. it's been 20 min now after re-unlocking and ive made a few test calls to myself (just to see if it woudl go through), rogers and apple, all went theough and worked fine now...

Im hoping it's good for months now until the 3g one is out here, atleast heh, but was just wondering.. has anyone EVER experienced such odd behavior? It's as if all of a sudden the unlocked baseband just.. crapped out? the phone was literally sitting on my desk, not touched when it just stopped working..

yep, it's all good now it seems since i re-unlocked it. I really don't get what happened, but *shrug*. running 1.1.4, from a restore (not an upgrade) then unlocked origionally. I honestly can't remember what i used to unlock it back then. However, I used (ug..) ziPhone this evening to re-unlock it quickly as i needed my phone to make a call for work ASAP. I didn't feel like for what i need for other *better?* methods . I don't like ziPhone for a bunch of reasons (like the force downgrade bootloader on people) and whatnot, however, it has worked for now to get the job done real quick.

Will give an update tomorrow morning once i get up, hopefully itll be acting fine.. i just really dont get why it just seems to ahve stopped working all of a sudden needing to be unlocked again as if the baseband just died?

Wow, very weird. Was there a slight possibility that the whole network was down?
