Then it wouldn't solve mine because it's hideous to have that alphabet on the menu. Looks like I'm using Windows.

Agree hideous. I use Bartender to manage my menubar and with that it is easy to hide items.

Hmm.. I might go this route. It's kind of sad that I won't be able to see this information on the menu bar anymore.
