Very slow installation...

Hi,

I have iMac 24" 2.16 with 2GB RAM, this days I decided to upgrade from tiger to leopard and guess what... it took me 4 hours to complete installation, also it tooks about 2 1/2 hours to install adobe cs3... has anybody meet with this problem? I also have MacBook Pro and everything is like 10 times faster...

Any ideas?

Have you checked the hard drive?

Try xBench for benchmarking your drive read/write speed.

Or have you got a DVD with data on it, and could copy some files to your hard drive, to see if the the DVD drive is faulty?

ok. i have done testing with DiskWarrior and benchmark and everything is ok, works fine when using software (like Adobe...) but he just took like half an hour copying 700MB form cd... hm, i don't know....
