Hello everyone,

My girlfriend's iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen has a strange strange behaviour. She just bought the new MacBook Pro 13 inches and tried to sync her iPod with the Mac. Everything worked fine but as soon as she tried to play music, the iPod Shuffle displayed the green-orange-green-orange light.

I thought it was broken. I tried to restore it several times without success. Then I connected it to my MacBook Intel Core Duo Black, I tried to sync it with my iTunes library and the iPod started working perfectly!!!

I tried to connect it again to my girlfriends's new MacBook, synced and it did not work.

I tried with my old iMac G4 Lamp. Same thing, it doesn't work. It's working ONLY on my MacBook! Quite strange!!!

Any suggestions??

Try a different usb port/cable?

The cable is always the same and if it works on my Macbook it should work on the other macs! USB port is the same.

And note that the sync works perfectly. It's when you disconnect the ipod and press play that you have the problem.
