I essentially had a jailbroken 2.0 firmware iphone (I used pwnage on that jail-breaking). I updated to the firmware on my iphone to 2.2 today on itunes so I could use quickpwn (this was my first time using this program) the new pwnage isn't working right on my old ass mac for some reason. Pwnage couldn't find the binaries (even though they were on my computer and I downloaded like 6 different ones from various websites. I'm sure it's just a software glitch.

As the firmware is updating via itunes my phone restarts itself and its unlocked. All I lost was my illegal apps (I can live with out them). All my legal apps are still on the phone :). So basicly I restarted the phone and it booted back up as unlocked. I even reconnected it to itunes and it still stayed unlocked. I didn't even end up using quick pwn because it was still unlocked.

Is this a normal occurrence or will it lock itself up on random. Should I even be worried? Everything works fine on it even my T-zone hack.

wrong forum, but if you were unlocked earlier with first gen iphone, upgrading through iTunes won't change baseband, thus you will remain unlock.

As above, any iPhone that was unlocked as of 2.0 or later stays unlocked with official Apple updates. 2.0.1 was the first time I installed 2.0, and I unlocked it, and since I don't use Jailbreak apps anymore, I've used official IPSW's ever since without bothering to use Pwnage at all.

But your iPhone isn't jailbreaked anymore, obviously.

And I'll fix the forum. ;)

Opps sorry. I meant to put it in this forum. Sorry and thanks for the answers folks!
