Has anyone used a VESA mount with their iMac?

What mount did you buy (and from where)?

How difficult was the install? On Apple's site I read the VESA mount kit is tough to attach to the iMac.

I'm looking at the innovative 7500

I have this same arm. Installation was quite easy, many options offered. I don't move it around much though, I bought it more to get the 24" display lower on the desk, more ergonomic for my situation. There is a bit of trial and error in figuring out what tension is the best on the arm since too little and it won't stay in the position desired and fall, too much and it's not pleasurable to try to move it around. The arm will squeak a little when you move it around. All in all, I think this arm is the best for the amount spent. If you have more specific questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks imacan.

Here's a few questions:

1. Did you just order from the innovative essentials web site, or did you call and haggle?

2. Did you consider the 7000 model? It seems the only differences are a shorter reach (16" & 24" vs 18" & 27") and lower price ($157 vs $230).

3. Has the Apple VESA mount left any scratches on the back of the iMac?

Thanks again.

1. Just ordered
2. Did not consider it on the basis of the reach, I did not want to get it and say "I should have gone longer".
3. No scratch.
